The Science Channel and the Discovery Channel have teamed to feature a series on NFL Super Stadiums. The first episode debuted on September 9, 2020 and features SoFi Stadium, the new home of the LA Rams and Chargers. The episode includes an in-depth description of the 100-ft tall Reinforced Earth MSE retaining walls forming the outer bowl of the excavation. The walls help to lower the stadium’s profile due to the surrounding air traffic, and keep “…the stadium isolated and protected from the shaking earth around it” in the event of an earthquake.
