Between 2008 and 2012, the final design and construction took place on RECo’s largest job in Virginia to date, the I-495 High Occupancy Toll (HOT) Lanes. With 750,000 square feet of MSE walls, detailed and continuous collaboration between RECo and the contractors was necessary to keep the design-build project moving forward. One of RECo’s photos of this project is featured on the cover of the Eighth Edition of the popular textbook, “Principles of Foundation Engineering”, by Braja M. Das.
