George Street Precast Concrete Arch Bridge Project Details
In 2002, RECo began it’s work with Gannett Fleming on a review of a conceptual design for the new George Street Bridge. RECo later contracted with Conti Enterprises, Inc. to supply the design and materials for this multi-span precast concrete arch bridge. Precast traffic barrier, and roadway, abutment and spandrel retaining walls were also included.
The RECo project team included assistance from RECo’s Canadian affiliate, Reinforced Earth CO., Ltd. Having previously overseen installation of large arches on several projects worldwide, RECo Canada provided critical technical assistance to to field personnel, ensuring a successful installation.
