Congress Avenue Bridge Project Details

RECo’s first MSE wall in Texas, built in 1978, supports one end of Congress Avenue Bridge in downtown Austin. The bridge is home to the worlds largest urban bat colony, with a population between 750,000 to 1.5 million bats depending on the time of year. That’s roughly one bat per human resident in Austin.
